F.A.Q.
Who is the teacher?
Laura Grace is a registered 200YTT yoga teacher who found healing and strength through yoga. Her practice has helped her with healing from back pain, healing from an autoimmune disease, and healing from addiction. After all these life-changing benefits, she is excited to share the magic of yoga with others! Her style is playful and easy-going with lots of options to make it your own.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing. No fancy yoga outfits needed!
What should I bring?
All you really need is a mat and water. Dollarama sells yoga mats now! We have a few extra mats.
If you want to, you could bring blocks, a strap, or something to cushion your knees, or a blanket to put under your mat.
What will the yoga be like?
Each class will be a mixture of standing, seated, kneeling, and reclined poses.
We will always cover the 6 movements of the spine, the major muscles of the legs, toning the glutes, and core strengthening. Shoulders and feet get a lot of love too.
These classes are gentle to moderate. Feel free to do as much or as little as you like. It's your time to explore what feels good and healing for your body.
Yoga shouldn't hurt. If you feel any sharp pain, always ease out of the pose and find what your body wants. This is your time to explore & play. If your body is asking you to rest, please listen. This is a no-judgement space. We don't judge each other, or ourselves!
There is something so tranquil about practicing outside with the birds providing our soundtrack.
Each class ends with a moment of stillness to let the nutrients of your practice settle in. And then a fortune cookie.
What does it cost?
$10 per class, is the suggested donation, payable by cash or by e-transfer to healinginthehammer@gmail.com
Do I need to register?
Nope, you can just drop by! If it's your first time, you will need to fill out our waiver. Or you can save time by doing that online HERE.
All are welcome!
